John (Clonky) Prescott wins the 2009 umbrella competition

Congratulations to John Prescott, better known as "Clonky" in umbrella circles on winning the 2009 Umbrella Competition.
It was always going to be a close run thing and was decided on the last game of the season.

Throughout the season "Clonky" had been hovering around the second or third position, but on the last game, barring a total disaster he was in a strong position to take the title, and this he did in style.
In second place came Mike (Mr Perfection ) House,
In third place came Mrs Barbara (Twinkletoes ) Paige
Well it was a most enjoyable competition and if my memory serves me right, one of the more successful competitions with just under half of the club's membership taking part.
A lot of fun was had by all and thanks must go to our Champion John Prescott for his hard work in organising and administering this competition.
Same time next year people?
