Another fine result, where the 'A' team were again successful in picking up all 12 points. T Hyde, P Villis, P Aldus, T Steer Won19 shots to 18 shots Result: Banwell 'A' 75 shots (12 Points) - Bridgwater 'A' 38 points |

As I go to press I do not have the details, only to say that we experienced our first defeat of the league season and went down on all 3 rinks Result: Banwell 45 shots ( Nil Points) - Isle of Wedmore 'A' 76 shots ( 12 Points) |
| Saturday 21st June - Bath Civil Service - Away |
Banwell A travelled to the Bath Civil Service Club for their 4th match in Premier 2. The rink skipped by Paul Aldus got off to a good start and led throughout the whole game eventually winning by 27-8. It was a closer game for skip Phil Owen, being only 1 shot up at 15 ends, however 9 shots over the last 6 ends gave a 23-15 win. On the 13th end the rink skipped by John Davies were 1 shot down, but then 10 shots over the next 3 ends helped them to finish winners by 23-19. Banwell A picked up their 3rd maximum of 12pts. This was a very close match, with Banwell trailing Victoria in the early stages. But Hilary Guckian's rink started to draw away to lead throughout the match. At 20 ends the scores were 49 shots each but Alan Vickery and his rink surged ahead to win his game over the last 3 ends, while Jimmy Laurent picked up shots and closed the deficit on his rink to ensure a fine victory on our first league game of the season J. Prescott, F.Lewis, T.Brafield and J.Laurent - Lost 16 shots to 21 shots Result: Banwell 'B; 53 shots ( 10 points ) - Victoria 'C' 49 shots ( 2 points) |

The 'B' won another close league game, by 8 match points to 4. Hilary Guckian’s rink did well to win by 5 shots and Alan Vickery’s rink were ahead for much of the game but just lost out by 2 shots on the last 3 ends. Jimmy Laurent’s rink clawed their way back from 10 shots down also to lose by 2 shots giving an overall match win by 1 shot C Williams, P Hedderman, J Amos, H Guckian Won By 23 shots to 18 shots Result: Banwell 'B': 59 shots (8 Points) - West Backwell 58 shots (4 Points) |

Another fine win for the 'B' Team - They built up shots, and the two rinks skipped by Johnny Keith and Alan Vickery soon pulled away to win their games convincingly. Result: Banwell 67 shots ( 11 Points) - Clarence 48 shots ( 1 Point) |
| Saturday 21st June - Portishead RBL 'C' - Away |
Playing away against Portishead RBL on a fine afternoon Banwell B came off best in a match where the lead constantly changed hands dramatically both across rinks and in terms of the winning team. Skip Hilary Guckian got off to a flying start to be 11-1 ahead after 6 ends; went 11-20 down after 15 ends but then revived to win by 4 shots. Skip John Keith gradually gained control on his rink to produce the best win by 7 shots. It was left to skip Fred Lewis to limit the deficit on the third rink and on the last end scored 2 to give Banwell a pleasing win by 3 shots. Rink 1 : S Kedward; P Cunningham; J Amos; H Guckian won by 24 shots to 20 shots Result: Banwell 66 shots (10 Points ) - Portishead RBL 63 shots (2 Points) |
| Friday 27th June - Clevedon Prom 'B' - Away |
We lost our North 2 fixture at Clevedon Prom by 1 shot on the last wood of the match. Drizzle and miserable damp conditions limited the enjoyment and options available. Skip Johnny Keith and his rink were always ahead and won by 8 shots but Clevedon Prom kept a grip on the other two rinks to win by 4 and 5 shots.
